Grace Andersen Designs Story

MY STORY

I live in a suburb of New York City, a well established and flourishing artsy community. I am a fan of handcrafted jewelry and out of a love for the beautiful and exotic, and all things handmade, I taught myself the art of wire wrapping. More than just an accessory, my jewelry is created with love and designed to be worn everyday as a reminder of who you are as a person and where you want to go in life. One of Grace Andersen Designs goals is to provide the general public with trendy, affordable, well-made handcrafted jewelry that can be worn by yourself or gifted to another.

MY SHOP

I work out of my home and feel a great sense of contentment and joy while at my work bench. It is my very favorite place to be.

 MY JEWELRY

My jewelry pieces fuse passion, beliefs and style while remaining delightful yet exquisite. From my simply woven earrings to my statement necklace pieces that have a touch of attitude, I carry a wide variety of jewelry surely to fit each and every personality. Each piece is crafted to complement the wardrobe of the everyday woman while at home, work, or play. Clean lines, good quality materials and a thoughtful design are what make up my work. Grace Andersen Designs is created with precious metals consisting of 925 sterling silver, copper and or brass. I also use an assortment of stones which can include Swarovski crystals, genuine natural gemstones and or semi precious stones. Making jewelry is a definite form of  meditation for me.

MY MACRAME

Macrame has become another passion of mine. I love the art of knots and all that it brings to a room, either as a focal point or as a way to display a plant. I find it very relaxing and mesmerizing as the chosen material slides through my fingers creating different patterns. Some materials that I use in my macrame pieces include cording, twine, yarn, rope, stones, crystals, beads, copper, poles, knobs and driftwood straight from the beaches of Long Island.
